So why the discount on the price of this GPS heavy? Simple: Many features of this receiver requires the MSN Direct, which was interrupted by MSN. After that, GPS is too expensive to lose all the praise above (eg traffic, weather, etc.). The description says this device, "like all the receivers 700 Series is a series of features, including construction traffic receiver . Not so. According to the customer service from Garmin, the 780 does not have a receiver like that. You can buy one for a higher price, but much less expensive to incorporate GPS to get started.

Out of the box, the device does not have a manual or information on where to find more information. Search the Garmin Web site provides a link for a manual for the 780, but in reality for the 700 series and information on 780 (as if it is the recipient of the movement). Garmin manual confirmation is not available for the 780. Help feature of the receiver seems to have been designed for the 700 series. Help on the traffic, for example, say that to access the menu was not found on this receptor. In short, when the receiver could be top-of-the-line (even if the documentation sucked). Now is the average for a receiver to sell for much less.

Price was right - bought as part of Christmas, my dear wife, who, among other things, is more pleased with our choice. Nothing is perfect, but rather a reduction in Nice above average - especially for the price!

the same product is great. I purchased this product because, he says, I have a subscription to MSN 9 months, I went with 3 months free.

As I have lived without the Garmin 780? I received two days before Christmas our great travel guide. Right out of the box, I could activate it, connect it to my laptop, and access to Garmin. I did the updates, activated the MSN service, and also understand how to download the POIs for gas stations that sell E-85 (a must for us). I am very impressed by what the 780 can do. It 'easy to use and has a large detailed maps. The main reason why I bought the 780 is to route multicast. I managed to put in my path, with stops planed (by points) and even add / edit some too. Overall Rating 5 stars and I would buy the new Garmin 780.
