J. A. Narciso Our old and trusted Magellan GPS has been used, but its age shows. Not having to hand on a recent trip, I borrowed a Garmin eTrex Vista from a friend. His unit has convinced me that it was time to get a Garmin eTrex. I solved the eTrexHC mainly because of the price. Now that I have used for site visits and travel, is clearly a good investment because its price and performance are very difficult to beat. I could get maps of the MDGs, which are very useful and timely information. If there's one thing that I would rather have a MicroSD slot so that they will continue loading and unloading of the cards - even if I do it often. The function of microSD memory card slot is available in a big brother to the price eTrex HC. If you want the convenience of storing a large number of maps and topos, a model with a microSD slot.

A. Foster ( Chicago, Illinois United States ) Believe to be a lemon. With thousands of other sever on the Internet. Mine has lasted about a year. The drive starts to spin, and then disappears. According to many sites of this common problem and resolve only to replace him. Not a good answer, because there are companies that depend on them for a lifetime. I will try another manufacturer.

Jacek A. Szulc ( NJ USA ) I purchased this product not knowing that it will not be able to upload Garmin Topo maps. Yes, this model does not come with slots for memory card is quite therfore blocked. I also found the external buttons (controls) is very complicated to use. And 'much less of an intuitive touch screen Offred other Garmin models. My advice is to buy for the same price Nuvi 255W and you'll be able to upload maps using memeory slot comes with. If you have a bit 'of money "to buy more Garmin Colorado. FINNALY And remember: electroinic devices can fail, if you need to depend on the map, a compass and the sun. I returned this item. Amazon has done a fantastic job. ..
