I brought this navigator a few years ago and still works well. Function wise, it's OK! My only complaint is the size. Why so clumsy? Otherwise, Magellan is a good brand to have.

I have owned this Roadmate for almost a year. It is constantly "thinking" mode and update my position is never fast enough (sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes) and I traveled only 5 km from my destination! I throw my husband just bought a Garmin Nuvi for the car and is much better. We traveled over 100 kilometers and lies on us for 1 minute. Magellan needs a new name for the product - perhaps Columbus, instead!

I love my Magellan RoadMate 760. I have had for almost three years and has always worked for me. The screen is easy to read and buttons are easy to use. There are so many features here to get a lot for the dollar. My only problem is that I lost my antenna and I can not find anywhere, so I was forced by an external antenna with high efficiency. I can honestly say that when I was in a new city, I am not familiar with my 760 has always worked for me. I had those moments when I knew nothing of where I went and had to rely solely on my 760 and was successful every time. My only drawback is that I wish it were built in traffic and Bluetooth connections. Besides this is a perfect GPS.

Why I would say get a Garmin? While navigating, no speed displayed on the screen (big thing I miss) when you reach a turning point or destination, the device only say that there is 1 miles, not feet as the twentieth Garmin. The journey: the XX says 760 minutes, my Garmin showed last I arrived in 1038 or at any time and the minutes indicate the destination but the worst mistake in the thinking of this unit, you can download the music file format MP3 on the device and connect the stereo mini-jack for headphones wing, but you can not play music files and surf at the same time, it's one or the other. IMHO this is just a bad design. I downloaded my earlier, and go find a Garmin, and I hope the bastard who stole my Garmin in my truck for Ricketts, herpes, malaria and other injuries, he / she runs.

i am overall satisfied with this product
compared to the other GPS available at that time in the market
here are the positives
1- extremely accurate directions
2- powerful reception even in busy downtown buildings
3- lots of very useful features that you really need and not the fancy features others like GARMIN offer
4- loud and very clear voice guidance
5- large and clear display
6 - light changing easy to ready display in any light conditions
7 - excellent re-routing and quick
8- good customer care

now the BAD features
1 - no battery backup poweer, so will shutdown asap if the power cord is shaken and takes time to restart and so always need to be plugged in
2 - huge and bulky
3 - not good window mounting
4 - cradle very sensible to damage and so loose contacts
5 - some of the POI's were not update, but overall POI were fine
