E. Rash ( Philadelphia, PA USA ) I have bought many refurbished products - everything from desktop computers and MP3 players. Rarely have a problem with a refurbished unit. When I do, the customer service usually does all it can to help. In this case, they were very slow and refurbished units used to get more money than my mother, who gave me this GPS. Had a Magellan GPS for the last 6 years and wanted another, so I had a Garmin as a mine.
Mom is completely disillusioned with Magellan. Although this model had lots of features she wanted, she'll never buy another Magellan again (and you can be sure I won't be buying any either).

Is no longer under warranty, so I'm Sol While the work was difficult to use than my previous GPS Lowrence iWay. Lina Affinito After the precise, pinpoint exactly where and when to turn. This was a gift for my daughter. Do not hang dangerously Map Quest directions, while the number of units, no more getting lost! I could see the same exact model for the action in the car of a friend. And the recommendation that my friend and suggestions were probably more profitable than the verification of consumer reports or further analysis.
A chuckle for you: My daughter drove a very elderly man to a football game, using the Magellen GPS. After a while, he remarked, "Damn! I wouldn't want a job like that, giving directions all day long! Boring!"

O C ( New England ) I has done research online and reading reviews and was afraid to buy refurb units, but simply could not afford a unit of this quality and new features. So far (Knock on Wood) I am very satisfied with 4250 and working for the money but u can not beat the features and extras are available.
