This is a refurbished GPS. Refurbished generally means that the unit has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the navigator back to like new conditions. Some GPS may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Dan Cohen ( Dexter, NY USA ) I ordered a refurbished Garmin nuvi 265wt GPS unit because is was such a good price and the reviews said it was as good as a new one at a significant savings. It arrived quickly, in a blue box from Garmin that said 265wt on it. Upon opening it however, the unit itself said 255w (not 265wt), so it did not have the bluetooth feature that the 265wt has, which is why I chose the 265wt model. I called Amazon and they were very gracious and apologetic about it and the return was easy. I therefore chaulked it up to a packaging error, it happens right? My replacement unit from Amazon came just as fast, in a blue box from Gramin with a model number 265wt on it, just like the first one. But inside, it was a different story. Again, I was sent a Garmin nuvi 255w in a box that clearly, and for the second time, said Garmin 265wt. I called Amazon again, very disapointed and decided not to go for a third try. A refund was quickly processed but I am still disapointed and I have no GPS. What is Garmin trying to pull here? So, a word of caution, make sure you get what you ordered!

C. Knight ( Eastern PA ) Received in about 2 days. Tool on 1100 mile trip tp F;orida. Worked fine till entering Florida then tols me there was no satellite service for most of the state. A friend driving the same day said his Garmin worked fine the whole time. It continued to sporadically get and lose signal for a few days then seems to be working well, so I don't know what the problim was (is?).

David J. Nettleton I had an inexpensive TomTom. This wide screen GPS is better in almost every way. I haven't tried the FM traffic.

Andrew T. Parker ( Mission Viejo, CA ) The product is a breeze to set up and a joy to use. The first thing I did was take it to the front yard and let it figure out were home was. My wife and daughter were a little shocked with what this device could do in terms of how it told you when to turn and the like. The blue tooth for the wife's cell was the icing on the cake. I based the purchase on this being the most popular unit that Garmin offers and I think this was a great filter. There are indeed lesser products out there that I have used with car rental's. Garmin has hit a home run with this product and they are going to sell alot of these.
