IAN RICHARDS This base certainly makes using the Tom Tom a lot easier. A couple of issues with the unit, the eyelet sewn at the back of the base and its associated hook. The reason I purchased this item, was my car was broken into due to the ring left by the suction cup on the windscreen. That is now to be replaced by a fixed visible hook, if used thieves will certainly notice this transition. I have a 720 and the provided suction cup mount has to be fitted forward on the mount due to the overhang of the screen - maybe Tom Tom could increase the height of the supplied suction mount to negate this problem.
