Overall, it is precise and easy to use ... does the job. Only one negative thing I have to say and, for some reason, it is difficult for me to see the maps of the lake to download for this GPS?

I initially wanted to take the Zumo mainly for my bike, but can not justify the cost. What I really wanted was to be waterproof and have topographic maps. This is not so much and costs less (I think I paid about $239 in 10/09). I use it daily in my path of service work during the weekends for family trips, and on my bike too. I like the simplicity of use and I know I can loan to a friend and not have to explain how to use it. Sometimes, my clumsy fingers hit letters that was not foreseen, but it will not happen on a small screen. I wish it were a choice of QWERTY keyboard. I had the impression that this was a provision that allows the download speech to text, but have not found one yet. I had the chance to play with the features Geocache yet. In general I am satisfied with my purchase.

Garmin Nuvi 500 packs a lot of bang for the buck. If you do not want to have 3 0r 4 different GPS units to cover all their needs or desires an all in one GPS device ... This is the unit more accessible to you. It starts with getting U.S. Street Navigator software combined with the coverage of the United States of topographic maps. This is the cheapest units on the market that comes with both ... and is waterproof! Garmin has tons of extra vehicle for you the experience of custom mapping and three different voices to make the trip. Two additional components are recommended and make the hard shell 8-16 GB Class 6 Micro SD card. 8 gig cost me $30 and this way you can load all the top of the map update on your disc for smooth sailing in the United States. As for the details ... lists all . As far as my experience ... After downloading the updated software for free ... unit now speaks the street names in two different voices FREE U.S. English.

You also Australian, British and some other British accents to make your trip more enjoyable with TTS do not feel that the vehicle 3.5 inches is too small, it is really ideal for all uses. The only thing missing is the ability to drive or a blue tooth headset. If what has been added to this unit would be a 5, 5. Instead, it is a 4.5, 5. "I'm really happy with this unit," says my girlfriend who has regular problems with night driving everywhere. Loses all directional reference frame as soon as it gets dark and this was just the ticket for her to stay with the girls throughout the night. He came very fast.
