This is the first GPS that I bought. I bought this model for the advanced features that I use in RV travel. The instructions are generic and not go into detail or give examples. The maps are very old and upgrades are expensive. I live in a street of two subdivisions, which is 6 + years of age and not on paper. How many times I Map and actions, not the results in the date map. This makes it difficult to define a point at home. Now, my house is the backyard of someone in the street which is on the map. I practiced trips on routes that I know and I was disappointed with the results of routing. The option to make an itinerary to help you chart a journey from point to point, but that does not work well. She has asked me about a journey that should have been a straight line.

I had a problem with my connection to the USB ports. TomTom USB fail the circuit on my computer. I would have to disconnect the power and the launch of the TomTom connected it to work. I have a keyboard and mouse are wireless USB, as well as a scanner, camera and printer. None of these cause a problem on and off. My work was about to use a USB hub to connect my TomTom. I have a friend who gets a Blue Sceen on Windows 7, when you connect to your device. Will look for a USB hub.

Besides these problems, the unit works well. What I like to see is a way of knowing that would track their travels and maps them for future use. Combined with the IQ routing and traffic information would travel fast and easy, no matter what conditions exist.

5 Stars (subject) The live is absolutely incredible! Period, end of story. We drove from DC to New York before Christmas, with time and traffic clogged parts of I-95. She (yes, as she is, no woman would let a man tell you where to go ...) directly off the road at various places on the street surface and all the traffic that we have stopped seeing the bridges. Only at first, but it requires a leap of faith, to leave before seeing the back-up. I think that saved us 3 hours.

Find best gas seems to work well, live search through Google OK but needs a lot of typing and properly phrased questions.

Caveats:
In stalled traffic she will sometimes direct you to get off on an exit and back on from the same exit thereby sneaking by a few dozen cars. It may save a minute or so... but that's just rude to other drivers in my humble opinion.

Typing on touch screen keys is hard for big fingers, use a stylus.
