Garmin Nuvi was purchased as a gift for our young adults who move to Europe for two years. E 'used mainly by them, such as pedestrians, so that this model will be ideal and can be easily updated with local maps, if necessary. As an useful and easy to manage than folded maps and guides tiny.

I bought a Garmin Nuvi Garmin 1370t This is the second I have had over recent months, my last was stolen. After my first Garmin was stolen. I decided to start the Nuvi 1370t due to anti-theft device. Not a lot 'you can do with a portable GPS system to prevent theft, other then lock it. At least now I have the satisfaction of knowing that they will not be able to use my own, if this happens again. There is a code that you need to type every time you turn for the 1st time. The features of this Garmin is also very beautiful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a GPS. I hope this helps you out.

1370T bought used in June and July for a trip of 3 weeks (with family) for Europe - United Kingdom (London, Stonehenge, and Oxford), France (Paris), Germany (Monaco of Bavaria) and Italy (Milan , Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Pompeii). I used it on a 1 day drive from London, Stonehenge, and Oxford, and 1 day driving between Rome and Pompeii. Subsequently used for driving in Dallas, TX a lot and even on foot, in San Jose, CA time. He served very well to our needs. Time and money saved because of it, probably already covered the cost.

Here are some highlights of our experiences with this GPS. The instructions (in any car or pedestrian mode) are usually accurate. Help pleasant voice, but in general, works from time to time been silent for no reason, in this case, go to the screen size and press OK to resolve the problem temporarily. The touch screen and non-letter keyboard work well. The battery seems to be able to last about 4 hours (SPEC), and much more if the GPS is turned on only when needed. Voice guidance such as "enter the roundabout and take the third exit" is extremely helpful in getting the fear roundabouts, particularly the left side of the United Kingdom leader with roundabouts everywhere nowadays.

Use it to discover and fall in grocery stores and restaurants in cities in Europe, probably saved us hundreds of dollars, such as drinks and food in supermarkets are usually 3-5 times cheaper than elsewhere. When the first turn on the GPS in a new city, it usually takes 3-5 minutes to acquire GPS satellite signals (probably common to all GPS). In the narrow street with tall buildings, as in Italy, could the loss of GPS satellite signals, if so, go to a large intersection with large opening usually temporarily solve the problem (probably common to all GPS). There were several occasions where the GPS off when calculating a route, for example, 30%, soon realized that the GPS was still in pedestrian mode when I asked for a route for driving over long distances, spend the machine to solve the problem (probably common to all GPS). There seems to be the best choice of GPS with the map of Europe, that.
